About Brian
I am an active guitarist, BUT also an avid instrumentalist working with brass instruments (mainly trombone), bass guitar, drums, and some piano. I have an Associate's Degree from The Atlanta Institute of Music and a Bachelor's of Music Performance from Delta State University, in Cleveland, MS. Being a music teacher for the last 18 years, I have worked with children as young as 4 and adults as young as 70! I enjoy digging in to as many styles as I can get a listen to. I adapt to my students' needs, because YOU are the most important part of this whole process. If I can help you to understand, feel, and enjoy the music, then and ONLY THEN is my job accomplished!
I love Music so much (obvious, I know) that I feel a need to help anyone interested in understanding and enhancing their passion for the craft. The joy of seeing my students comprehend the artform and succeed with their own goals is my biggest pleasure.

We'll have a brief introduction, then I prefer to start playing immediately. Either I will hear the student play (solo or playing with me) or if it's a true beginner session we will jump right in to begin making some music.
