About Collin
Hello! I am a professional classical guitarist originally from Oklahoma City! Since my career began, I have performed throughout the US, Spain, and Italy. Additionally, I have professional experience recording two albums, one as a soloist and one as part of a duo. I have garnered national awards for my playing as well.
My teaching experience is extensive. I currently maintain a private studio, and have taught at the collegiate level for two years. I am a high energy, passionate, and flexible teacher.
Since age 18 I have spent my life as a serious musician. Being able to share my insight with my students is a joy! Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to our lessons together!

My favorite part of teaching is the personal connection I form with each of my students, and seeing their progress throughout our lessons. I am a dedicated and passionate musician, thus being able to combine this artistic pursuit with the practical application of teaching is a meaningful experience for me.
I am a proud graduate of the Eastman School of Music, with both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Guitar Performance. Additionally, I have garned multiple national awards for my playing in solo, chamber, and ensemble settings. Lastly, I perform regularly, in turn bringing a practical knowledge and insight into the art of performance for each student.

When I begin working with a student, we discuss the student's goals with the instrument. From there, I gauge the levels of each of the musical skills necessary for accomplishing their goal. Then, we methodically begin developement through the materials and instruction I provide. It is a step by step process which is guaranteed to help the student improve as much as is possible for him or her.
I have worked with all levels, ranging from beginners to thoroughly experienced players.
In July, I had the wonderful experience of recording a debut album in New York. This was for a guitar and piano duo I am apart of, called "The Muse Duo"!

Collin is very affable and pleasant. He instills the love of music in the students very well. Our son was 15 when he started with Collin. Collin would encourage as well as challenge him at times to be better than our son thought he could be. He would also suggest some simple exercises or smart tips to make adaptation a bit easier. We would highly recommend Collin as a guide at any step of your Guitar learning process.
Collin is an amazing instructor! We love him so much. My daughter has been taking lessons with him for about 8 months. She says she learned more with him in that time than the 2 years with guitar center and other instructors.
Even tho he’s a classical guitarist by trade, he knows everything! He taught her to really read music and alternative picking styles. Most importantly, she really loves her lessons and looks forward to them all week!
We both highly recommend him!Collin is an excellent guitar teacher who has the expertise and experience of a seasoned professional in the field. He has shown insight into the music I have been practicing that has aided the progression of my abilities as a performer.
