About Shanelle
My tutoring services stand out because I am patient and with students, I focus on understanding rather than memorization. I believe this method is effective for long-term memory. I am currently a pre-med student attending New York University as an undergraduate student.
I have volunteered in several places such as the Liberty Science Center and a local Hospital. I also work in a STEM summer camp as a teacher's assistant, and I am an NYU Langone Volunteer Research Assistant. I am interested in tutoring on my free time in order to give back to students that are willing to learn more.

Getting to know one another on a professional level before starting. I think it's important to also know how the student feels about the subject/assignment and their attempts made. Additionally, knowing the student's thought process would be helpful before attempting to help so that I would know what approach to take when explaining.
I have worked with students in all different areas and ages, ranging from pre-k to college level.
