About Anne Lise
Hi There!
I am a native French speaker and I am here to help you improve your conversation skills and reach your next fluency level.
Comment ça va? Pas très bien si...
>> You learned French in the past, you can still read it, but you are anxious to speak it as you almost never practice
>> You interact with French clients, business partners, friends, etc. but find yourself miserable as you struggle to express your true self
>> You love the French language and culture but cannot find any conversation buddy
>> You read tons of French books and watch tons of French movies, but you are stuck when you meet a flesh and blood frog-eater
Let's overcome these challenges!
I've been living in the USA for 9 years, and I taught French to undergraduates for 2 years at Rutgers University when I first landed here. I switched careers a couple of times but I still love languages and I enjoy helping avid learners to grow their speaking and writing skills whenever I can.
We can work on grammar, vocabulary, idioms, pronunciation, and culture / civilization while having fun enjoying a casual conversation. All backgrounds and topics (maybe except sports and politics) are welcome!
- French native speaker
- French Instructor at Rutgers University (French 101 and French 102) in 2009 and 2010
- MA French Literature
- PHD candidate Rutgers University; Rick Lockwood Memorial Essay Prize laureate
