About Eric
My name is Eric On and I am currently a senior at UNLV studying Music Composition and French Horn. Prior to UNLV I was gracious enough to be awarded and recoginzed by musical competitions such as The National YoungArts Foundation as well as the NextNote Music Foundation. I have studied under many horn legends, with some notable examples being JD Shaw, Bill Bernatis, and Steven Becknell. In addition my composition teachings are heavy influenced by many composer including Diego Vega, Jennifor Bellor, and Luna Wolff. My goal as a musician is to provide music enthusiasts a effective outlet for all their hard work within life. Whether it be through my compositions, playing, or teaching, I strongly believe that raising awareness of the arts will bring forever lasting memories, ethics, and friendships. I am a strong proponent of "You get what you put in.", so if you truly desire to excel at your art, I will do everything in my power to guide you beyond. I would not be anywhere near where I am today if it weren't for my teachers that believed in every step I took. Now I only wish to return the favor to my community I grew up in and share the knowledge I have pieced together from 11 years of studying music.

Horn and Composition are both one of those art forms that have a extremely steep learning curve. Seeing students overcome this curve and enjoying the art once the craft is without question is such a satisfying experience that truly can not be replicated by other means.
