About Christopher
Insist on strong credentials. Your success depends upon it.
I have served on the business faculty of 4 universities and have been teaching accounting and finance to thousands of students for over 15 years, and became a CPA at age 21. I also hold an MBA with a focus in finance. I personally tutored over 100 clients in 2019. For my complete background, reviews, and my clients’ success stories—99.07% passed last semester—go to christopherore.com.
I am passionate about helping you succeed in accounting and finance courses—either because you have to take the courses, or you are planning a career in these arenas. I specialize exclusively in tutoring these courses, and help students excel on exams, quizzes, weekly assignments, or semester-long projects and presentations, both at the undergraduate and graduate level. Roughly 35% of my clients are MBA students.
From San Francisco, I teach online using Zoom.com, which is a great application for sharing screens, video conferencing, notetaking, and real-time review of files. You walk away from each session with an organized, mission-critical, Excel file with formulas.
Let's get started. Today.
Christopher
Every single day I get to have an impact on the future of my clients, and the future of the United States. I'm doing a small part of a very important mission.
I graduated from college when I was 19, and became a graduate teaching assistant soon thereafter, at age 20. Upon graduation with my masters, I became a full time faculty member at age 22, teaching classes ranging in size from 20 students to 400 students.
I have extensive experience in both finance and accounting--which are the only two topics that I teach. My honors undergraduate degree is in accounting, and my MBA was with distinction, with a concentration in finance. I have worked at various levels within the financial and accounting sector, and I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Additionally, I have taught thousands of students as a faculty member at 4 universities, and I have personally tutored 100's of students.

The typical process I follow in working with students is to first understand what specific topics he or she is struggling with, review of the syllabus, description of my style of tutoring, and then quickly getting into the material itself. This may includes exercises, homeworks, quizzes, or even presentations.
I have worked with clients throughout the United States, at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I have also worked with several students from other regions of the world (an example is Saudi Arabia). Additionally, I have a few clients who are in high school, but are taking college courses, such as accounting or finance.
I would recommend that the student seek someone who has very strong credentials, is a native English speaker, and who has long experience teaching finance and/or accounting. Also, hourly rate is important, but it is best to have a $70 per hour tutor who can, in 1 hour, teach the same material as another tutor who takes 3 hours to teach it, at $30 an hour.
I am a big fan of politics and current news. I'm interested in public debate on all of the issues facing the world. I was fond of this past Super Bowl until the 49ers lost at the very end!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It really comes down to asking the teacher just one question, after explaining one's circumstances: if you were in my shoes, what would you do? And then, listen very carefully. The professor should have a very clear idea of what it takes to succeed in his or her class.

My prices are almost entirely uniform, though I do charge a premium if the content is from the most advanced accounting or finance courses, including at the graduate level.
