About Ashlee
Experienced Elementary Teacher looking to help families navigate online learning.
I care about every child I work with. I make learning fun by singing songs, taking brain breaks, and building trust and connection.
I teach all subjects from Kindergarten to 5th grade. I have four years of teaching experience, two in a First Grade classroom and two as a substitute teacher.
I have a Master of Education from Portland State University and an Oregon Preliminary Teaching License.
I have four years of experience as an elementary teacher. Two years in a charter school as a first grade teacher, and two years as an elementary substitute for various school districts around my area. I have worked as a classroom teacher, as a small groups instructor and in special education.

First I spend some time getting to know the student. Ask about their interests, their family, and tell them a bit about myself as well.
I will explain how the sessions will look and get an idea of what the student needs help with. I will encourage them to stop me whenever they don't understand anything and to ask as many questions as they need.
I will bring resources and plan to do a pre-assessment to see where the child is at and where their goal is.
