About Carol
I can tutor in many subjects, as I am an active tutor for Colby College in chemistry. As a chemistry major and philosophy minor, there are myriad skill sets I can bolster in any student.
Getting to know students and facilitating their learning is an incredible feeling. I love figuring out how learning styles vary, and how this can be used to make a student's learning experience fruitful.
As a student, I've always gravitated toward helping others and naturally enjoy seeing people learn. In many traditional settings, students don't have a variety of ways to learn, and fall behind because their learning style doesn't fit the teaching method. I'm passionate about bringing out the potential in each person.
As a tutor at Colby College, I've spent time teaching students and learning how to alter my style based on the person I'm working with.
