About Melissa
I have an elementary/english degree, with a specialization in middle school and special education. I have worked in a school setting as an English teacher for 6 years but I tutored throughout college as well. I am also a sports coach and love to encourage my students to reach their full potential and believe in themselves. In this crazy circumstance we are living in, they will need more support and guidance which I feel comfortable providing.
I have been in many leadership positions throughout my life that help me to be a great tutor. I was a mentor for ten years for special needs children in life skills programs. I was an RA in college for three years. I was a sunday school teacher for many years as well as a tutor In my late college years. I have worked in a classroom setting as a teacher for six years now as an english teacher.

I go through students strengths and weaknesses with then using a series of activities and assessments that would target the areas that we need to work on the most. We would work on their growth and confidence as well as their ability to adapt to challenges that come their way using top notch tricks and tools.
