About Jennifer
I have 25+ years working with students on writing and reading comprehension. I also have a teenager who struggles with reading and writing, so I've seen firsthand how frustration can quickly takeover and make learning very difficult.
Every student has a voice. Sometimes it's just a matter of helping them find it!
I have always loved helping others learn and grow. I've never imagined being anything other than an educator because it's my true passion.
As Writing Center Director, I train a group of tutors on how to work with students on reading and writing. I have also been a teacher for 25 years and am almost finished with my PhD in English literature.

First I listen to the student explain the assignment and together we identify goals for the session. Then we begin working to meet those goals.
All types--including students with learning differences. I've worked with many students who are dyslexic, even my own daughter, and students who have ADHD, including my own son. I've also worked with a number of students who struggle with processing issues.
