About Kirsten
I am a 17 year teaching veteran. I have a BA in English, MA English, and ABD EdD in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently teach AP Language, English 1101 and 1102 for a local technical college, American Literature, and Creative Writing. I have also taught 9th grade Literature, World Literature, and British Literature.
I love helping students to find their individual voices in writing while also mastering the technical skills needed to clearly articulate a written argument.
I have been a STARR teacher and the George Washington Carver Teacher of the Year.
17 years of teaching experience.
