About Miranda
I hold a Master's degree from Harvard and excel in teaching writing at a high level, teaching argumentation and organizaiton, and helping advanced readers to parse a texts at a college-level. My tutoring is not nitpicking but instead high level conceptual help, and learning topics with real depth. I specialize in high school, college, and adult teaching.
I enjoy meeting new people and building relationships with my students.
I began teaching when I graduated from college, mainly working with high school students from private schools on writing skills.
I have a BA from Pomona College and a Master's from Harvard.

I like to get to know my students during the first few minutes of a session - as people, not merely their needs in tutoring. This way we can feel more comfortable with each other, and feel at ease asking questions and speaking up as the process goes forward.
I have worked with adults, college graduates, college students, and high school students, including those with dyslexia and ADHD
When I moved recently, my friends all came over for dinner and took turns telling stories about why they love me and would miss me.
