About Linda
I am a retirer teacher with references. I taught in the public and private schools for years. I have been tutoring in elementary reading and math for 6 years. I enjoy working from home and I have the cutest little tutoring room you ever saw. I have reciently started online tutoring with great success. I use Zoom and a projectable book and lesson. I like to begin by evaluating what a student need. I use Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA) to find their independent reading level, which gives me their instructional level. We do a new read each session and a reflective journal writing. I can pick up phonemic, and grammar needs. I'll prepare a lesson to address the need for the very next session. I try to make the sessions fun with learning games and lot of laughs and encouragement.
