I generally like to meet with or speak to the student prior to the first lesson to identify their needs and goals for improvement. This gives me insight into how I could cater and craft a learning plan to fit them.
I work(ed) with students of all age ranges and levels. I work with students at the elementary to graduate school level as well as learners who are seeking to patch up their skills in respective areas.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would encourage students (or parents of students) to conduct an assessment to understand what the preferred learning style and needs are. This can also be communicated to the tutor so that they are able to craft an effective learning plan for the student.
