About Lucy
I am a 4th year university student. Started maths tutoring in my final year of school and have been giving lessons even since.
I sat my national 5 Maths in 2017, Higher in 2018; achieving A's in both.
Teaching others through my knowledge is something I am passionate about. I have a fresh perspective on what is expected of pupils and how to successfully achieve their desired grade.
I have mentored lots of students varying from 2nd year to 6th year, I believe I create a comfortable environment to ask any questions and go over things at a pace they are comfortable with.
I am always pleased when I see progress in understanding and in grades, I find it rewarding seeing a growth in confidence and problem solving when tackling questions.

My methods depend on the level of maths being taught. I tailor lessons towards inhance test scores, improve understanding or working towards a final exam.
Everyone learns differently and maths is a narrowly taught subject. Anyone can be good at maths as long as they’re taught correctly.
Typically lessons last 1 hr, can be extended as exams approach.

Perfect! Lucy is a lovely girl and appears to be really helping my daughter with her Nat 5 maths
Perfect! Lucy is a great help to my daughter. She is always well prepared for the tutoring sessions and has adapted her ways of working to enable tutoring to continue during lockdown. My daughter's confidence has increased and I would definitely recommend Lucy.
