About George
I have been teaching drums for over 40 years. I enjoy helping stundents become good drummers, while having fun doing so. I also like to challenge my students to be the best that they can be!
George started playing drums at age 5. His father was a self taught musician and would teach him to play all types of musical styles. George was involved with every possible music program while attending high school and was drum line section leader his junior and senior year. He was in the orchestra and was All South Jersey for drums 2 years in a row. He studied with Joe Spangler and Al Ipre during this time. After graduating he started to work in area clubs and restaurants and played in various bands. A few years later he started doing road work with show bands and traveled on the east coast. George started college a little later than usual and received an Associates Degree in Music from Burlington County College. He then attended Trenton State College and Rutgers University for a degree in music performance. During this time he was playing 5 and 6 nights a week in clubs and in Atlantic City Lounges. George studied with Tony DeNicolla and Joe Morella and became a well rounded player. George has written many jingles and commercials that are still played on the radio in the South Jersey Area! George is still actively playing drums with All Tuned Up, a great cover band from the South Jersey Area that appears mostly at the Southern Jersey Shore, Corporate Events, Weddings and Private Parties.

Working together, we will find the direction needed to not only make the lessons fun but help the student excel at their ability and talent level!
I have worked and still work with students starting at age 5 through adults at all levels of playing. Many of my students have gone on to get music degrees.
Make sure that your teacher has the correct amount of knowledge and background to help you excel with your dreams of becoming a great drummer!
I play at about 100 events a year with my band All Tuned Up. We usually work at the South Jersey Shore every summer. My wife Diane (excellent vocalist) and I are the band leaders and have pleyed all over the east coast. I have also done tons of rec ording and was in the jingle business for a while.

Details
Books & Supplies: Students are responsible for purchasing their own music supplies as needed as per the teacher’s recommendations. Students will need at least a practice pad and stand, sticks, metronome or time keeping device, music stand and study materials.
Lesson Pricing: The price of a lesson varies depending on the length
of the session (1/2 hour or 1 hour)
At our studio (Recommended)
$25.00 per 1/2 hour ~ $40.00 per hour
At your home (within 10 miles of Maple Shade)
$35.00 per 1/2 hour ~ $50.00 per hour
Paying for Lessons: The lessons are to be paid prior to the lesson unless other arrangements have been made with George. You can pay by cash or paypal account. Lessons may be paid in advance!
Lesson Cancellations: Teacher or student must give a 24 hour notice of cancellation. If a student cancels, the lesson must be rescheduled for later that week. If a teacher cancels, we will try our best to reschedule the lesson during the same week.
NO SHOWS: If a student does not give 24 hour prior notice and fails to show up for a scheduled lesson, the student will be charged for the missed lesson. Emergency cancellations will be considered on a one-on-one basis.
