- I first understand what is what they want from the course. Do they want to learn to paint everything, animals, still life etc.
- 2nd step is to see how my students draw - do they know how to draw or they are just beginners.
- 3rd step without loosing more time is to start teach them everything about painting and how to start a painting from ground 0.
- I'll teach them how to treat a canvas to make it look smooth like a wood panel - this is mandatory if you want to paint fine details
