About Leslie
BFA in Fine Art from College for Creative Studies 2014-2019
OCAD University, Drawing and Painting, 2013-2014
I primarily paint and sculpt. I work with most mediums. Most of my subject matter is the human body.
I have been passionate about art from a young age and I've taken a number of classes in art. I'm confident in my abilities to pass that knowledge on. I know a number of introductory techniques, so I can tailor the lesson to the student. I am patient and knowledgeable.

I'd ask them to show me a drawing they are proud of, from that I'd assess where their talents lie, and I'd start with some exercises that might enhance their talents or strengthen their weaknesses. I'd probably start with a still life, if they are an intermediate: I might have them draw it only using value differences, if I think they need more contrast in their work. If I think special understanding is askew, I might have them only draw the negative spaces. If they are advanced, I might work with them on their creative skills, help them with concept work and challenge them to work unconventionally. If they are a beginner, I'd see what kind of art they like and how to get them closer to their goals.
When looking for an art tutor, choose someone who challenges you in technical and conventional ways, and in conceptual and unconventional ways. Good Art needs both.
