About Kim
I have been a high school teacher in Chemistry teaching General, Honors, and AP Chemistry for 15 years. Before that I was an accomplished Research Chemist for a fortune 500 company for almost a decade. I have tutored since college whether by volunteering my time or getting paid. It is a passion and I love imparting my knowledge onto others with patience and compassion for my students. I hope you will consider seeking my services.
I have a masters in education and a bachelors degree in Chemistry and have taught in the classroom for 15 years. I also worked in research for a Fortune 500 company for almost a decade and have received numerous awards and publications.

The first thing I do is find out what level Chemistry they are out and exactly where the problems began. From there we build knowledge through a scaffolding process. I'm also a believer in helping them study the right material. It can be confusing for students at times to understand what is needed to study for tests.

Perfect! Kim was outstanding. She communicated with my granddaughter's teacher and was able to communicate on the student's level. By the end of ONE session, my granddaughter was caught up in geometry and understood the concept. She's on standby for when we need her again and is so worth it!
Perfect! My 16 year old was struggling with chemistry. Kim did three sessions in a row to catch her up. Kim made the work understandable and my daughter felt comfortable asking questions.
My daughter's comment was "OMG it helped so much". As a parent, I received feedback immediately which I appreciated. Setting up tutoring times was also easy. I know that if my daughter has problems again, Kim will be able to help!Perfect! Kim was a life-saver! My son had a test on Friday and told me on Wednesday he didn't understand any of the unit his class was studying. Kim was able to tutor that evening and made everything so understandable! We will definitely use Kim again!
