About Amaya
I am a third-year undergraduate student at UCLA double majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics, and African American Studies with a minor in Global Health. I worked in the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases for two years where we helped families living with HIV/AIDS. I am a member of Front Lines Tutoring, where we tutor the students of health care workers virtually. I am also Co-Founder of a pre-medical organization called Melanin & Medicine at UCLA. I have experience working with people from all different walks of life and I am open to learning everything I need to in order to help the students I tutor. I will adjust to each student's learning abilities and give them the proper resources for their academic success.
I enjoy being able to say I made someone's day a little easier or a little more manageable. I love being able to have a positive impact on people's life. I enjoy helping people grow into the best versions of themselves.
I am apart of Front Lines Tutoring, where we virtually tutor the children of health care workers.
