About Frank
I am a current 4th year medical student. Throughout my academic career, I have frequently tutored in undergraduate college and medical school. Past tutoring subjects have include math and sciences k-12 as well as college level courses. Standardized exam tutoring experience includes ACT, SAT, and MCAT.
I received a B.S. in Biology/Psychology minor and an Associates in Chemistry in December, 2017, with the aim of an MD in June, 2022. While maintaining various extracurricular activities (research, honors biology society leadership, physician shadowing, etc.), I maintained a 3.90 GPA with 144 college credits, graduating with top honors (summa cum laude). I continue to maintain these activities during medical school with an emphasis on research and mentorship. I hope to continue mentoring and tutoring students interested in math and sciences.
Over the past 5 - 6 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring and mentoring other students. It is wonderful to watch them develop the skills and study habits to excel in courses and often times watch them build a passion for the subject.
I had a few students ask me to tutor them in undergrad. Afterward, I found tutoring companies to help at and realized I thoroughly enjoyed the education and mentorship that comes along with the job. Since then I have become an independent contractor to further develop my tutoring career.
5 to 6 years of tutoring in different settings, including individual, small group, or large group sessions. Experience includes grades k - 12, undergrad, and medical school classes. I typically tutor in biology, anatomy/physiology, and chemistry, however tutor in many other subjects:
- physics
- algebra
- Calculus
- SAT, ACT, MCAT

The process is very individualized to the student's needs. A lot of times we will first discuss the class notes together in which I actively ask the student questions to grasp their understanding. This will be supplemented with in depth teaching when bumps in knowledge are noted.
We typically do practice questions as well (come up with some, online problems, homework, etc) in which I allow the student to take the lead and demonstrate what they have down. This will be facilitated with teaching at areas in which the student has difficulties with the problem.
Other processes include:
- discussing study habits
- Test prep (classes or board exams)
- Going over book chapters
- Grades k-12, undergrad, and medical school. Ages have varied greatly.
- Experience with tutoring students with dyslexia, ADHD, and anxiety as well.
Find a tutor who is passionate about mentoring, and just as passionate about their subject.
Exceptional tutors tend to be patient and do not simply give answers to the student, but check their understanding on topics and walk with them to get to the answers.
As I am a 4th year medical student, healtcare is fond for me. Some of my recent memories include teaching younger medical students about different diagnoses and how to manage those diseases, along with mentoring them in research that has been published.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
- What topics do you need help with?
- Would you like to go over notes, practice problems, test prep?

I had a great experience with Frank being my tutor. I have such a hard time with math and he had so much patience with me and really explained things in a way that I could grab the concepts. He really provided a lot of help and I would definitely recommend him.
