Baseball Instruction with AJ Monarrez:
Former professional pitcher in the South Bay looking to help develop young baseball players in the greater Los Angeles area by teaching the athlete the breakdown of mechanics and what needs to be utilized in order to create the potential power of an all-star. Playing at the Division 1 level in college, along with playing professionally in Mexico, I have learned much about myself as an athlete through injury. Therefore, being able to teach young baseball players the proper mechanics in order to prevent injury, gain strength, and develop overall as a baseball player I believe will benefit them in their future career.

One of the attributes I enjoy about teaching baseball is being able to be part of the journey of an athlete that is seeking to get better and develop in the game of baseball. When a young baseball player puts in the work, it goes unnoticed until it is game time on the field, and being able to help someone to grow and perform as an athlete is what I enjoy most.
In 2016, I played baseball in Australia and during my time there I began my coaching career with one of their club teams. Since then I have been coaching teams and giving one on one lessons. I currently am a coach in the Long Beach Quakes Baseball Program. (concealed information)
Playing baseball at the division 1 level and professionally in Mexico has not only educated me more about the game of baseball but along the way I have picked many tools that can help young athletes develop.

Perfect! AJ is the my son Alvin's first baseball coach. He uses his enthusiasm and patience to lead the 5 year old boy to experience the magic sport baseball. He can always find the right way to encourage him. The better thing is that, He has so many funny games to let him play. Alvin looks forward to play baseball each time and make funs with him . With his help, Alvin falls in love with playing basketball deeply! We are all appreciate it.
Perfect! My son had a great first experience with AJ. AJ provided a lot of useful and productive pointers and tips around technique and also the mental part of the game. We will be going back to AJ for a second lesson soon.

Great baseball coach for collegiate summer team.
Very technical ur working on everything not just throwing, strength training, pitching mechanics, long toss, bands and he breaks it all down
I highly recommend Coach AJ to anyone looking to improve their child’s skill level with baseball. My son has been working with AJ for a year. In this short period of time AJ has improved my son’s pitching stamina, movement on the ball, consistency in his pitches, as well as improving the flexibility, and mobility in his pitching mechanics. With AJ’s calm demeanor and fundamental knowledge, he has fostered an overall understanding of pitching approach with my son. He is swift to communicate and very accommodating with scheduling lessons and workouts. Coach AJ has been a game changer.

Provides proper stretching before lesson and breaks mechanics down properly.
Aj has been working with our 18u team for about a month. I love the change in our pitchers approach to practice and in the game. Pitchers love coming to practice because they know they are working on their craft.

AJ has taught my 10 & 12 year old-boys how to warm up properly, strengthen their arm and shoulder, and improve their pitching mechanics. He is extremely thorough, teaching them how to use their lower half and drive the ball. He works on strategy and has built their confidence.
My son worked with AJ over the summer on pitching and long toss to help strengthen is arm. My son immediately connected with AJ and really looked forward to the private workouts. AJ also coached his travel ball team and was very effective at teaching and encouraging the boys but also making it fun for everyone. AJ coached the team to the championship game with only 8 players for one of the games which we won!
