About Dave
I enjoy helping students develop confidence in their ability to silver mathematical problems.
I have a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arkansas. I have an M.S. in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School. I taught Calculus and Probability for 3 years at the Naval Academy. I also worked as a tutor in high school and in college.

I have them work on a few basic problems in a topic they're currently learning about in class. I examine how they attack the problem, prompting them with questions when they get stuck. Afterwards, I spend time helping them organizing their thinking and work so that they can get as much credit as possible, even if the answer isn't perfect.
