¡Hola! Or hello!!
My name is Michaela, and I am a twenty one year old ESL tutor! I have my TESOL certification from The International TEFL Academy in September, 2025. As of July 2026, I will be a full time ESL teacher in Costa Rica!
I have experience working with students of all ages, and different fluency levels. My aspiration is to help you reach your goals!
I am engaging and fun loving, and want to connect with my students yes in the best way possible! I bring your interests, likes, and dislikes into our lessons and conversations, and strive to reach conversational states you’re proud of, and can use in your day to day lives! I am willing to tutor and teach anyone at all.
I have taught my brother and other freshmen in Math and English, and have helped classmates of all ages with acting. I am an all A student in the classes I am willing to teach

Typically we start out with about fifteen minutes of getting to know each other (this does not count towards your paid time) so I can get to know how you learn. I like to see what you're working on in class, or just what you want an opinion on. If you're working with me in Theatre I want to know your past experience (if you have any at all) and we can build from the ground up!
I have worked with students from 4th grade to 9th grade, I am willing to tutor anyone 5-15. Some of my students have ADHD so I know how to handle those situations.
That you want to pick not just "the best price" but the best tutor for you. I keep my prices low because I am starting out--but I am going to try and make sure every learning type is acknowledged and we find what works for you. You have to work with the tutor just like the tutor works with you

Details
So for everyone under eighth grade, the rate is $5 per hour session, and for High Schoolers it's $7. This price is negotiable but ONLY for high school students. I will never go under $5 per hour.
