About Abby
I am a current undergraduate student at the University of Virginia and an incoming student in their graduate school as well. I have worked in the Office of Admission for two years and I have a great deal of experience in preparing college applications. I am willing and able to assist in crafting the perfect essay, finding the perfect school, and preparing for exams.
I love working in the world of college admissions. College is an incredibly valuable time, and the school you attend matters. With so many choices, it can seem overwhelming. I want to be a guiding force to students looking for assistance in making this very important choice.
I underwent the admission process myself only a short time ago and I understand how overwhelming it can be, and how rewarding. My sister recently went through this as well, and I was able to assist in her in successfully gaining admission to the University of Virginia. I realized my passion for the admission process, and I want to share my expertise with more students.

About the lesson

For the first session, I would go over the students transcripts, test scores, and activities. We would determine what type of advising the student is looking for, whether that be specific help on an essay or a broad overview of the admission process in general. We would discuss their interests in a college environment and schools they were already looking into. With this information, I would proceed to create a plan for our upcoming sessions.

I think students should think through everything they have done throughout their high school career, and what they are hoping to achieve in higher education.

Details
The first session would be an hour-long consultation, which would cost $30. Further pricing would be set based on the depth of advising the student wishes to pursue, between $30-$50.
