I’m originally from Brazil, and didn’t know much English at the time I met Mila.
Mila was my teacher when I was preparing to take the GED exam. At the time, I needed a lot of help with my English so I had the idea of translating a book written in Portuguese to English as an extra way of studying.
Mila helped me reviewing my translation throughout the whole time she was my teacher, giving me very valuable feedback every time, even though that was not part of her class responsibilities. She went far and beyond to keep me motivated about learning English and her help was key for me to develop confidence in my studying skills. Not only she is a great teacher, she is also a mentor, a friend and someone I’ll hold dear for my whole life.
