About Laura

I have a BA in Classics from the University of Birmingham and a PGCE teaching qualification from the University of Cambridge. I have worked in 4 top independent schools during my teaching career and now focus on tutoring. I am passionate about words and language and love (yes, love!) grammar! Over my career so far, I have most enjoyed teaching Latin literature (especially Virgil's Aeneid), Greek drama (my favourite is Euripides' Medea) and Greek art & architecture.

About the lesson

I know that every learner is unique and that when we enjoy learning we do better, so my approach to tutoring is rooted in adaptability and passion! From KS3, GCSE or A level to just-for-fun adult lessons, you'll enjoy engaging and supportive lessons which focus on understanding and enjoyment. * Lessons range from 45 to 90 minutes, depending on your needs. * Excellent subject knowledge & a full understanding of the exam board specifications. * Professional and approachable manner. * Personalised learning resources included.

Laura tutored my son before he took his Latin GCSE. I would wholeheartedly recommend her - she's easy to contact, knows her stuff and really helped my son feel confident and understand the grammar he was struggling to grasp.
