About Cedric
Hi! My name is Cedric and I'm a graduate in Jazz guitar at the University of Montreal. I started as a self-taught musician at age 15, before attending school and getting my bachelor's in 2023. I have more than 2 years experience teaching in private schools and I've been building up experience performing and recording in different settings. Some of the work I have done include: -Cruise ships, restaurants, bars, hotels, parties, jam nights and school big band. I am currently working with Hansom Eli as the main guitarist and I'm working on my own musical projects. I'm eager to share my passion and any knowledge you would like to know. I focus on personalized classes that are offered in English as well as in French. These one on one classes can be attended in person or on Zoom. Thank you for reading and hopefully we will meet soon!

-The main focus here is that this is YOUR class. In my opinion, music is best learned when we become passionate about it and for that reason, this class will always put your expectations first. From your goals we approach technique, practical application and theory, not the other way around -A typical lesson begins with 2 simple yet important questions: "What did you do this week in music?" "What are you most interested in?" This will let us determine what are the main things we should put our focus on on a weekly basis. Learning a song, a technique, exploring theory and concepts are all things that can be targeted and learned depending on the interests and ambitions of the student. My ultimate goal is to teach you, how to teach yourself. I began as a self-taught musician and I still believe there is an immense power in being able to learn by yourself. My program typically follows the steps I took in order to learn the guitar and leads into what I learned in Jazz school. That is, minus the hours of trial and error. -I humbly believe that what sets me apart as a teacher is my open-minded approach. Everybody learns differently, it is the teacher's duty to find the perfect learning angle for each student. All the more important: there are no better genres, there is only music. -These lessons are aimed at complete beginners to more advanced players. If you're getting started on theory and you're having trouble using that knowledge in your playing, I know the struggle and this is a class for you. **CLASSES AVAILABLE IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH**

Perfect! Cedric ma pris en charge des le départs, je ne suis pas un débutant mais j'ai toujours voulu pofiner mes bases et apprendres a mieux jouer en mode picking et ''jamming'' cedric a tout suite su quoi me montrer pour pouvoir amiliorer mes points négatifs de mon playing , je le conseil a tous très compétent et a l'écoute

Cédric a une grande facilité à s'adapter à ses étudiants, il est patient et très bon pédagogue. Il a d'ailleurs une facilité à connecter avec ses étudiant(e)s afin d'aller chercher leur passion et identifier des stratégies d'apprentissages adaptés et des moyens concrets pour maintenir leur motivation. Il est ainsi très polyvalent dans son approche. Ses compétences s’expliquent par ses nombreuses années d’expérience en enseignement ainsi que ses études universitaire en musique à l’Université de Montréal.
