About Ray
I am a qualified mathematics educator with over 30 years experience of teaching, lecturing and private tutoring, with a successful teaching and lecturing career and many successful students. My PhD was in mathematics education and I have presented workshops at many conferences and teacher-training days.

I like to teach mathematics through a problem-based approach, allowing students to tackle questions and then encourage them to pose questions, and offering scaffolded support to enable deep learning and understanding. Dialogue and discussion are the most effective forms of learning and I incorporate these into my teaching.
