We have an autistic 10-year old boy. Joakim is very patient and professional. He is always prompt and has good communication. He is very talented and can slow to your exact pace. He has started teaching Michael some of him favorite tunes right away. Highly recommended!!

I don’t think I could have wished a better choice than Joakim! I personally came to him after a LOOOOONG break in my playing. Like almost 15 years bro… And Joakim always made me feel comfortable in my playing and it’s so easy to follow the lesson plans each week. It is so great to have a professional trombone player be so humble and really get the joy of playing an instrument that is so dear to me too. I regained my confidence in playing and remembered just how much I LOVE to do it! Now I am better than I thought I would ever be again. 10/10 would recommend. Don’t hesitate, because you will not be disappointed. Happy playing!

I have studied with Joakim for 8 1/2 years. He was recommended by a friend and I have been happy since our first lesson. He has helped to increase my playing ability so much; I cannot imagine where I would be if I was not studying with him. He is always positive and encouraging, and follows up all lessons with written notes of the lessons. He is flexible in scheduling and rescheduling, when needed.
During our lessons, we often will play together and work on trombone fundamentals and music, discuss music theory, work on tech issues related to recording, and anything I need, as it pertains to my musical journey.
I have found Joakim’s teachings and advice to be invaluable to me.
