About Tiffany
I am a mother of three and dedicated Special Education teacher who strives to see all of my students learning and succeeding in the regular education classroom. I advocate for academic equality for Special Education students and push them to break barriers and always strive to do their best. I have worked with special education students for the past 9 years. 7 of those years were spent working with juvenile offenders, which is where I really saw the need for special education advocacy. Due to my experience working with these children I started a nonprofit organization called Revitalizing Education Attainment by Choosing Higher Efficacy and Resilience (R.E.A.C.H.E.R., Inc). While REACHER, Inc. is still a new organization, I hope that one day it will be a part of the forefront of Special Education policy and curriculum here in Arkansas.

I typically work with students that have disabilities, but I have also worked with nondisabled students. When developing lessons I look at what my student's needs are. I look at their academic struggles like I am medically diagnosing a patient. In order for me to help my students learn, I have to know how their brain is processing given information. (If available I love to read over any educational or psychological evaluations to give me a better understanding of how to approach instructing that particular student.) Once I ascertain this information, then I can begin to develop lessons geared at "reprogramming" (so to speak) the mind in order to allow the student to comprehend what I want them to comprehend. Each lesson given is mastered by my students before I move on to the next lesson. For in-person tutoring I provide manipulatives, most of which are handmade by myself for specific students/lessons. These manipulatives have shown to be great tools that lead to increased academic retention during my lessons.
