About Nicky
I am a middle school special education teacher who is certified to teach all grade levels in special education and up through grade 8 for general education.
As a first-generation college graduate, I understand the problems that many other first-generation students face, especially when it comes to receiving help with academics and navigating the world outside of a school setting.
My goal as a tutor is to help students develop the necessary skills to thrive in both school and the real world.

I take a personal approach to each of my students based on their individual strengths and areas of growth.
The initial tutoring session consists of assessing where the student is currently performing on the subject that the student is wishing to receive support on. Additionally, I will ask questions to determine the areas of interest of the student so that I can tailor my lessons to make them interesting and relevant to every student.
I am here to tutor students in K-9 for all subjects, as well as support first-generation college students in navigating both the college application process and their first years in college.
