I use Scarborough's Reading Rope practices as a baseline for my Reading Tutoring, and for both Reading and Math I use a very personalized approach for each of my students. This personalized approach keeps every single student engaged by using tools they can relate to and love, and incorporating fun and engaging educational tools throughout my tutoring.
Lesson outline (20 Minute Sessions) [for students Pre-K - Grade 12):
1. How my student is feeling for the day + covering session expectations (2-5 minutes)
2. Lesson: covering content both current and personalized to this particular student (10-15 minutes)
3. Going over student wins and opportunities for improvement for our next lesson, including asking the student what they feel may be more helpful to them in the future (4-6 minutes)
