About Sahar
I am a fully qualified teacher with 12 years’ experience teaching GCSE and A-level as both a private tutor and lecturer. I am an experienced, enthusiastic and qualified individual, working at leading top 20 vocational UK academic institutions, who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the education. Teaching students from various social and cultural backgrounds. I am professional Educator with diverse experience and strong track record fostering child-centered curriculum and student creativity. Currently tutoring A level Physics & GCSE Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology), Mathematics, English, Geography and History including KS3. I have worked with students from Level 4 (first year degree equivalent) to milestone 3 (roughly ages 7-8).
I am patient and understanding and will happily go through things as many times as is needed for my students to fully understand.
I love helping people develop their full potential by recognising and reinforcing their strengths and building their ability and confidence in weaker areas, to the point where learning becomes a joyful experience rather than a chore. Education really can be fun if it is approached in a way that suits the individual. Every single student is different, so it is vital to have a flexible teaching approach in every case, whether in a group context or individually.
I believe that given the right encouragement and learning environment, any student can achieve much higher standards than they thought possible and that my experience and love of the profession can help to attain this. Establishing a supportive relationship with not only students but also their parents and fellow teachers all with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a student’s independence and self-esteem.

I spent over 10 years in schools, further education and in higher education where I was both pastoral tutor and teacher of Science and Maths. During that time I delivered teaching curriculum, planned lessons and prepared resources to meet individualised learning needs of learners and helped students with varied range of learning styles which best suited their intelligence. This assisted in educational and developmental needs of young pupils. I was jointly responsible for setting up and running progression needs for group of varied ability learners, so that as children worked and explored at their own pace. With this experience I learnt that differentiation and meeting varied learning styles are key to effective teaching and learning.
When I prepared lesson I made a conscious effort to ensure I was not just catering for visual learners like myself, but tried to see lessons through other learners’ eyes. For example, to introduce learners to electricity, I got the children to create and join a ‘basic circuit’ using different lengths of wire, components, loads etc and then transferred that circuit diagram, to further aid their knowledge, to the board. Kinaesthetic learners were thereby catered for during physical movement and manipulation, visual learners in drawing the circuit diagram created on the board and audio learners as we discussed and interpreted the circuit diagram.
I love helping people develop their full potential by recognising and reinforcing their strengths and building their ability and confidence in weaker areas, to the point where learning becomes a joyful experience rather than a chore. Education really can be fun if it is approached in a way that suits the individual.
