About Tom
Hey! My name is Tom Bishop and I offer bespoke one-on-one music production, mixing/mastering and recording lessons Online (Zoom) and in Staffordshire from my studio.
I am a full time music producer, mix/mastering engineer and session musician with 25+ years of experience.
I have been fortunate enough to tour the world with various bands and work in many recording studios across the UK.

I can help you take your music to the next level!
The lessons can be either in person from my recording studio or online using Zoom to screen share and Audiomovers for high quality audio.
Pro Tools is my DAW of choice but have had many students who use Logic, Abelton etc
I play Drums, Guitar, Bass and Piano and can help you on your journey towards using instruments to compose your music.
I will teach you songwriting, recording, production, editing, and mixing/mastering at beginner - intermediate - advanced level.
You will have the opportunity to create songs from scratch, develop your skills and release your inner creativity. Through these lessons, you will be able to create your own professional-sounding music all the way from an idea to a fully finished production.
I will help you understand and utilise Dynamic Processors like Compressors, EQ's (Digital & Analogue) and other creative FX based forms of processing such as Delay, Reverb and Modulation, to help you understand how to bring your ideas to life.
These technical skills are essential for modern producer/songwriters, though in my opinion equally as important is understanding your own relationship to music and how you can translate your feelings and emotions into sound.
For those of you who record real instruments / vocals I will also teach you about proper microphone placement and acoustic room treatment so you can get the best sound possible in your home studio.
