About Ebony
Hi there! My name is Ebony Joy, I am a professional actress and director. I utilize my stage, television, film, and voice-over experience to help actors at every level gain confidence and access their authentic talent. Along with my performance credentials I also have over five years of experience directing productions for the stage. I have an extensive background in coaching actors in audition preparation, cold read preparation, script analysis, in-depth character analysis, monologue study, scene study, self-tape audition, improv basics, as well as breathwork and meditation techniques for performers and public speakers. I am a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Whether you want to express yourself more freely on stage or dig deep into character work or scene study, I’m here to clarify the craft of acting. I will give you the tools to gain confidence, rule your body language, and successfully tackle any character to produce your highest quality performance. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. I believe in a positive, supportive approach to teaching acting. My goal is to help you tap into your unique imagination, appreciate your natural abilities, understand how to break down characters, build a strong foundation of techniques, harness your voice, and have a blast while doing it!
