About Lucinda
I've been teaching piano, violin and theory privately for 10 years; before that I taught Basic Skills to adults. I have a Cert Ed teaching qualification. I have taught a huge range of students from beginners to grade 7, of all ages and abilities. My main qualities are patience, good humour, and adaptability to the student's needs.

I have a very student-centred approach rather than just using one methodology, as everyone has different strengths and goals. My aim is for students to enjoy music for itself, and I introduce them to a wide range of music, and like it when they introduce me to new things too. I am keen on general musicianship, and incorporate theory into my practical teaching (but can teach it separately if necessary).
