About Finn
I am a piano teacher with an Associate of Music in Piano Skills and over 6 years of experience. My students range from aspiring worship leaders to theater accompanists and wedding band performers. I take a motivating and individualized approach to teaching. Lessons are customized based on each student’s strengths and musical goals. I emphasize technique, musicality, and practical performance skills. Sight-reading, chord progressions, and improvisation are key elements of my lessons. I guide students on how to accompany vocalists and instrumentalists effectively. Rhythm, phrasing, and dynamics are reinforced consistently. Music theory is applied practically to enhance performance. Performance readiness is an important part of every session. Lessons are structured yet flexible to encourage creativity. I help students develop piano improvisation skills in jazz, blues, and pop. Lessons cover melodic development, comping, and spontaneous arrangements.
