About Fiona
Teaching is in my DNA. The daughter and granddaughter of educationalists I’ve always enjoyed helping people fulfil their potential and follow their passions. In my parallel career in television I have spent over thirty years communicating with a vast range of people from all walks of life and am fascinated by what makes them tick. I’m known for my infinite patience and academic rigour which suits me perfectly for tailored tutoring to a very high level. Each student requires varying degrees of both. I believe passionately that the more we can learn each other’s languages the better place the world will be!

With my rigorous but student-led approach you will secure high grades and a lifelong love of French. I will give you techniques to develop a proper understanding of how the language works so that you can build your fluency up to and beyond the exams. 45 minutes - 1 hour lesson depending on level From year 7 to GCSE and A level I can complement your school learning or teach from scratch. I have a degree in German and Russian from Oxford University and top grades in A level French which I had already studied to such a high level I dropped it to take on my third language of Russian at uni. Having learnt several languages myself and tutored students of varying ability, I’ve worked out a range of effective ways to tackle the many obstacles that can make language learning such a HEADACHE!
