About Sylvie
I’m a passionate Chemistry tutor with 4 years of experience helping high school and college students succeed. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching 150-200 students, guiding them through complex topics and exam preparation. My goal is to make Chemistry interesting and accessible, showing students its real-world applications. I believe in creating a positive, motivating learning environment where students feel confident in their abilities. One of my proudest achievements is seeing my students not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine love for the subject.

My teaching methodology for Chemistry focuses on making the subject practical, engaging, and easy to understand. I use real-life examples and case studies to show how Chemistry applies to everyday life, helping students connect theoretical knowledge to the world around them. This approach makes the subject more interesting and helps students see its relevance.
I believe in motivating my students by creating a positive learning environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions and explore new concepts. Problem-solving is a key part of my teaching style, and I focus on helping students build critical thinking skills that will serve them in exams and beyond.
Flexibility is important in my teaching. I adjust my approach to meet each student’s needs, whether they need extra help with a specific topic or are preparing for exams. Integrity is at the core of my teaching—I always provide honest, clear feedback and ensure a supportive, respectful relationship with each student. My goal is to help students master Chemistry and gain confidence in their abilities.
