About Aalya
I am a Law undergraduate at Swansea University with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in helping students succeed. I achieved excellent results at GCSE and A level, including an A* in Mathematics and an A in English, and I enjoy supporting students in building both skills and confidence.
I have experience working with children and teenagers through my role as an assistant tutor at Kumon, where I supported students aged 5 to 16 in Maths and English. This role helped me develop patience, clear communication, and the ability to adapt explanations to suit different learning styles.
Alongside tutoring, I have worked in customer facing roles which have strengthened my organisation, reliability, and interpersonal skills. I am calm under pressure and committed to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.
I am friendly, approachable, and dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential. I take pride in being well prepared for lessons and in supporting students at their own pace.

My lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on building confidence alongside academic skills, as I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I offer Maths and English support for primary and secondary level students, including GCSE preparation. Lessons can include help with homework, revision for tests and exams, improving exam technique, or strengthening core understanding in areas students find challenging.
I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner, whether they benefit from step by step explanations, practice questions, or discussion based learning. I am patient and encouraging, and I aim to create a calm environment where students feel motivated and supported.
My experience working with children and teenagers has helped me develop clear communication skills and an understanding of how to explain concepts in a simple and engaging way. I am happy to work at the student’s pace and adjust lessons as they progress.
Lessons can be held online, depending on preference, and I am always happy to discuss goals and expectations before we begin.
