About Joel
With a background in economics and a concentration in math during my undergraduate studies, along with a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, I have a strong foundation in mathematics. My 8-year career in finance involved extensive work in securities analysis, specializing in mortgage-backed securities, where I applied mathematical concepts to real-world problems. Additionally, I have completed the necessary certifications and examinations, such as the Praxis II exam for Grades 7-12 math, to teach middle and high school math in Connecticut. As a substitute teacher, I have taught a variety of math courses, including stats, algebra 2, and geometry/trigonometry, providing me with practical experience in conveying complex mathematical concepts to students.
