About G K
I have always enjoyed mathematics and problem-solving, and I particularly enjoy helping others understand concepts that initially seem difficult.
During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a math tutor and helped students prepare for their exams through individual tutoring and exam-preparation sessions. That experience taught me that students often do not struggle because they are “bad at math”; sometimes they simply need the concept explained differently and at their own pace.
I later built my career in software development and engineering, where logical thinking, structured problem-solving and analytical skills are part of my everyday work. I also completed my graduate studies in Engineering Management.
As a tutor, I combine that analytical background with patience and a practical approach to teaching. My objective is not only to help students get the correct answer, but also to help them become more confident and independent when solving mathematical problems.
I offer math tutoring in both English and French, and I can adapt the lesson to the language the student is most comfortable with. I can also help students understand mathematical terminology in both languages, which can be especially useful for students studying in a bilingual environment.

My goal is to make mathematics easier to understand, not simply to give students formulas to memorize.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, difficulties and objectives. We can review concepts that were not fully understood in class, work through homework and practice problems, prepare for exams, or strengthen the foundations needed for more advanced topics.
I usually start by identifying where the student is struggling, then explain the concept step by step using simple examples before gradually moving to more challenging problems. I encourage students to explain their reasoning as we work, because understanding the “why” behind a solution is much more valuable than memorizing steps.
I can help students from elementary and high school through undergraduate level mathematics, including algebra, functions, equations, geometry, trigonometry, introductory calculus and problem-solving.
My lessons are patient, interactive and adapted to each student’s learning pace.
Whether your goal is catching up, improving grades, preparing for an exam or becoming more confident in math, we will work toward it together at a pace that makes sense for you.
