About Alex
I began tutoring math as a junior in high school. In college, I was a math major and continued tutoring through the math and writing center in our university library. After graduating college with a degree in Mathematics and Mathematics education, I began teaching. For the last 5 years, I have taught pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and algebra 2.

Through my years of teaching and tutoring, I have finetuned my tutoring abilities to be extremely useful to my students. I can use many real world examples, manipulatives, or anything that is necessary to help the student. I can guarantee growth for students who I tutor or teach. I am not going to guarantee that an F student is going to be an A student by the end (although I have gotten a few student to raise their grades like that) but I can guarantee that they will grow in there math ability. I focus on laying a foundation and then working from there. Many math students lack a steady foundation and have no room to build. Once I build the foundation for the student, the sky is the limit.
