I have over 20 years experience in mathematics instruction. I have taught elementary school, high school and college mathematics, along with having served as a school administrator. I have a Master's degree in mathematics. A fundamental principle of my teaching philosophy is to engage the student in the learning process.

I take time to get to know my student's learning style and drill down to exactly where the student's difficulties in understanding begins. I don't just explain the material. I check the student's understanding of topics covered in a session by having them demonstrate by working related problems.
