I focus on meeting each student exactly where they are- academically, emotionally, and developmentally. I take time to understand learning styles, strengths, and challenges, and then design my lessons to build skills and confidence. I believe it is important that students not only understand the content but also believe in their ability to be successful.
I use a calm and encouraging approach so that students feel supported yet learn how to think independently.
I have over 25 years of experience working with youth in both educational and residential settings. I have extensive experience working with students with behavioral, developmental, and socio economic barriers.
Students I work with consistently improve their performance and self- confidence, moving from frustration to excitement to learn and grow.
I have experience tutoring students K-12 as well as assisting students w/ career exploration and college admission.
