About KATHRYN
My name is Kathryn, and I am 30 years old. I live in Lincolnshire with my partner, our German Pointer, and our young baby.
I have over 13 years of experience working with children and young people across a range of settings, including nannying, nurseries, primary schools, and SEMH specialist schools. Through this experience, I have supported children with a wide range of abilities and needs, and have developed a calm, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.
I am passionate about helping children build confidence in their abilities, particularly in maths, and I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. I understand that every child learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to suit individual needs and learning styles.
I have particular experience supporting children who may find learning challenging due to confidence, focus, or additional needs, and I take pride in helping them develop both their skills and their self-belief.
I am currently offering flexible online sessions and am happy to work around individual schedules where possible.

I offer supportive and engaging maths tutoring for primary-aged children, helping them build confidence, understanding, and a positive attitude towards learning.
My sessions are tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning style. I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
With experience working in a school setting supporting children with a range of abilities and additional needs (including SEMH), I am particularly skilled at helping children who may lack confidence, struggle to focus, or feel anxious about maths. I use patience, encouragement, and structured support to help them progress at their own pace.
Lessons can include:
- Supporting with schoolwork and homework
- Building foundational skills (times tables, problem solving)
- Preparation for assessments (if required)
- Developing confidence and independence in maths
Sessions are interactive and adapted based on the child’s progress, with a focus on making maths feel more approachable and less overwhelming.
