I worked alongside Justin for six months tutoring middle-grade students in person in Los Angeles. Every day I was impressed by the patience Justin always had with the students and by the way he was able to build their confidence as learners. By the end of my six months there, I had noticed that Justin's students in particular had made great strides not only in terms of their school performance but in terms of their demeanor in the classroom and the way they interacted with us and with their fellow students. Some kids act out in school because they're insecure, but once Justin helped some of these kids find their footing, they felt less of a need to act out.
