About Will

I am a friendly, enthusiastic and approachable tutor with a background in translation, journalism and communications. I have a degree and postgraduate qualification in translation, including French and Italian, and several years of professional experience working with written and spoken English in the media and communications industries. I have always enjoyed working with language and helping others communicate clearly and confidently. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand your goals and tailor my teaching accordingly. Whether you are preparing for an important exam, improving your written English or simply looking to become more confident using the language, I will provide patient, supportive and engaging lessons.

About the lesson

I offer friendly, personalised English lessons tailored to each student’s goals, ability and learning style. I use a practical and engaging approach, combining conversation, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary exercises. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are suitable for GCSE, A-level and adult learners. I have a degree and postgraduate qualification in translation, with professional experience in journalism and communications, giving me a strong understanding of English language, writing and effective communication. Whether you want to improve your grades, develop your written English, build confidence speaking or strengthen your general language skills, I will adapt each lesson to your individual needs and help you make steady progress.

I know Will through rowing, and while I haven't had lessons with him personally, I know him to be incredibly caring, patient, and a great listener. He's positive, supportive and a real team player, and is genuinely admired by his teammates. I think he has all the right skills and personality to be a fantastic teacher and make people feel comfortable while learning.
