About Pete
I have a PhD from Oxford, five years of tutoring experience and four years of experience teaching at undergraduate and master's level.
I graduated with the top First in my undergraduate class at LSE before getting a Distinction in my Master's at Oxford. I received my PhD in history from Oxford in 2018. I have taught tutorials and seminars at Oxford, LSE and Tsinghua University, China's leading university. I have won multiple awards for the quality of my teaching.
I have more than four years of extensive tutoring experience and have worked for a number of prestigious agencies, teaching history to students from GCSE up to Master's level, as well as helping with Oxford admissions (with a high success ratio). I have hundreds of hours of experience and a wide knowledge of historical subject areas. I have worked with students across a large number of exam boards and qualifications.
I've also acted as a volunteer tutor, advising on university admissions and mentoring students at undergraduate, A-level and GCSE.
I enjoy working with students of all abilities and have proven success helping students achieve the highest grades, whether that be the A-level grades they need for university, a First class degree or a place at a highly selective university.
Negotiable discounts available on my hourly rate for sessions longer than an hour and on particular subjects.

Completed both Oxford and LSE training programmes before teaching undergraduates. Oxford training included a particular focus on tutorial teaching, as well as Oxford interviews. Hold a SEDA-accredited formal qualification in university teaching.

Dear Pete,
I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for all of your invaluable guidance and help with my masters dissertation over the last few months. I only wish that I had started working with you earlier as you have truly made all the difference.
One of my biggest challenges over the last year was the fact that, that those without an IR background are sort of left to “shoot in the dark” when it comes to assessed work.
